Thomas has always loved fast cars and faster women; when he first met Christine he immediately saw dollar signs and was determined to win her. Her parents were not thrilled with the marriage but Jonathan soon realized that Thomas reminded him of himself when he was younger. Thomas does not like the fast crowd that Christine hangs out with and is disturbed by both her drug use and refusal to give him a child. Though at times he is not happy in his marriage he refuses to leave Christine and the lifestyle he gained when he married her. He is having an affair with his best friend's wife.
