The history of window cleaning indisputably orbits around the innovators who have done so much to improve and advance the window cleaning industry. Whether it be the first person (eons ago) who demonstrated that cloth rags and water did the trick; or those who designed or improved tools and equipment to make the job easier, faster and more efficient; the visionaries who launched the first trade publication, started an association of window cleaners, or an Internet discussion group. To be sure, these cited played or continue to play an integral part in the history, and their milestones are rightly celebrated herein.
